Uzziel wins $200,000 Goldikova Stakes at Del Mar (The Associated Press)
Uzziel led all the way to win the $200,000 Goldikova Stakes for older fillies and mares by 2 1/4 lengths Sunday at Del Mar. Ridden by Hall of Famer Kent Desormeaux, Uzziel ran a mile on turf in 1:34.77 and paid $15.40, $6 and $5. Desormeaux’s brother, Keith, trains the 4-year-old filly.
