FSU RB Dalvin Cook will not play against Syracuse
Florida State running back Dalvin Cook will not play in Saturday’s game against Syracuse, according to coach Jimbo Fisher.
Cook suffered an ankle injury during last week’s loss to Georgia Tech, which limited his carries in the second half of that game. He’s also been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that caused him to miss the majority of the contest against Wake Forest earlier in the month.
Cook has been the most consistent aspect of the Seminoles offense. He has 127 carries for 1,037 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has 181 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Giving Cook a weekend off wouldn’t be the worst thing, especially with a pivotal game against division-leader Clemson on Nov. 7.
