No. 1 Star: Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins netminder withstood a barrage of shots by the Washington Capitals and kept his team in the game long enough for them to strike in a 3-1 win. Fleury stopped 33 of 34 Capitals shots on goal.
No. 2 Star: Pekka Rinne, Nashville Predators
Stopped 20 of 21 San Jose Sharks shots on goal to open a four-game roadtrip with a win. The victory moved Rinne to 6-1-1 on the season and pushed the Predators to 4-0-1 in their last five games. The Predators have allowed just four goals in the last three games. The Nashville netminder has a 1.74 goal-against average and .934 save percentage on the season.
No. 3 Star: Erik Karlsson, Ottawa Senators
The defenseman notched an assist, was a plus-3 and played a whopping 30:28 in the Senators’ 5-4 shootout win over the Calgary Flames. The victory was Ottawa’s first at home this season. Karlsson has nine points in nine games this season – all assists.
