BEST BETS
Moore: Hawks (-5) over Knicks: The Knicks are on a back to back, with Arron Afflalo still out. Meanwhile, the Hawks will probably still be cantankerous after their pitiful opener vs. the Pistons. Atlanta was too good ATS last year (56-41-1) for me to jump off the wagon just yet, especially vs. the Knicks.
Pandian: Clippers (-11) over Mavericks: This is a big line but the Mavs are banged up as Wesley Matthews and even Deron Williams will probably play limited minutes. The Clippers are just too deep and too good for the Mavs. A double-digit blowout is quite possible.
Kostos: Pacers (+2.5) under Memphis: The Pacers will bounce back from Tuesday’s loss in Toronto and win their home opener against the Grizzlies, who really struggled in their opener against the Cavs. Paul George scores 25-plus points to lead Indiana to victory.
