Minnesota trailed early before roaring back to handle Detroit 28-19 last Sunday. After falling behind 14-3, they scored 25 of the next 28 points to secure their 4th victory. QB Teddy Bridgewater was 25-35 for 316 yards, 2 TD passes and no picks. WR Stefon Diggs had another strong game, hauling in 6 passes for 108 yards and a TD. RB Adrian Peterson just missed 100 yards as he ran for 98 on 19 carries. The Vikes ran for 140 yards as a team. The defense had the pass rush going as they notched 7 sacks against Detroit.
Chicago had their bye last week. They opened the year 0-3 and appeared to be one of the worst teams in the league after being outscored 105-46 in those games. They were able to notch two razor-thin wins following their disastrous start but were unlucky 37-34 OT losers before their bye. Injuries have been a major factor on both sides of the ball but the return of WR Alshon Jeffery in their OT loss to the Lions gave the offense a big lift (8-147-1). The secondary appears to be a weak link as is the pass rush.

Minnesota got the job done last week, holding the Lions to just 19 points. We’re not so sure that they’ll have the same success this week against the Bears. The public is down on Chicago which really doesn’t reflect the way they’ve played this season. They’ve lost four games this season with two the four losses coming in games that Cutler didn’t play at all (Seattle) or didn’t play more than a quarter of the game (Arizona). The other two losses came against the undefeated Green Bay Packers in Week 1 when with a new coaching staff and the second came in overtime in Week 6 in Detroit against the Lions. Chicago is rested and should be the healthiest they’ve been this season. Lay the small number.
