Adult intercepts puck meant for young Penguins fan (Video)
Young hockey fans getting pucks tossed to them by players, coaches or broadcasters before or during games is a pretty regular thing. So when a puck landed in the visitors bench Thursday night at Consol Energy Center, one little Pittsburgh Penguins supporter ran down the lower bowl to catch it as Buffalo Sabres coach Dan Bylsma tossed it over the glass.
The only problem? Some clown intercepted the pass.
The laugh when he notices what he did is truly the icing on the cake. The fans in attendance did notice what happened and rained boos down upon him in the moments after.
The Penguins were alerted and planned to make things right for the young fan.
And they were, according to Jason Mackey of the Tribune-Review. The team gave the young fan a puck and a Penguins jersey. Well done.
According to Adam Gretz of CBS, the adult fan was not in his seat since the puck snatch took place. We believe he was taken to some dark room in the bowels of Consol Energy Center for a little meeting with IceBurgh.
