Texans’ Jadeveon Clowney celebrates first NFL sack … down 41-zip
You want the good news first or the bad?
The good: In his 10th NFL game, Houston Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney notched his first NFL sack. Yay!
The bad: It came down 41-0 to the Miami Dolphins near the end of the first half in Week 7.
The worst: Clowney celebrated it with teammate Brian Cushing. Like it was a close game. Like it mattered.
Yes, you read that correctly. And it’s the second time the Texans have trailed by 40-plus points in a game this season.
The Texans have myriad issues to figure out, and their former No. 1 overall pick being clownish in a blowout isn’t the biggest deal. (Ahem.) But it does show that Bill O’Brien’s team seems to lack a bit of perspective.
That and the fact that Clowney, who was drafted for his ability to sack the quarterback, hasn’t done a lot of it.
