The Browns were exceptionally close to overcoming the undefeated Denver Broncos. Close…but no cigar, as they fell 26-23 in overtime. Quarterback, Josh McCown threw for 231 yards in the game and claimed two touchdowns, but was intercepted once or twice as well. Denver managed to sack McCown on four separate occasions, thanks to an ill-organised offensive unit, and Cleveland’s upcoming game against St. Louis is sure to push McCown to his limits once more. The Rams are third in the league with 19 sacks, and a lot of work needs to be done with the Browns’ o-line if they wish to succeed in this game.
Cleveland’s dull offensive line has seen them only gain 364.2 yards this season, positioning them in 11th overall. McCown has completed 121 passes of the 188 he’s attempted, and has claimed eight touchdowns altogether. However, he’s been sacked 17 times so far. And as mentioned previously, the rushing statistics are quite unimpressive overall, with just two touchdowns being claimed, one by Isaiah Cromwell and the other by McCown himself. Defensively, things are so sweet either, as the Browns have given up an average of 407.3 yards this season so far, giving them a ranking of 30th.
The Rams had a bye for week six of the regular season, following their loss to the Green Bay Packers on October 11th. Having taken time to rest up after that game, St. Louis are no doubt looking to get back on the winning track. During the match against Green Bay, quarterback, Nick Foles was only able to pass for 141 yards and ended up throwing four interceptions as well. However, Cleveland”s defence is significantly lack in comparison to the Packers’ unit, and the Rams shouldn’t have issues being able to break through their lines.
St. Louis have only managed to claim a total of 297 yards on average in offensive stats, ranking them at the bottom of the pack in 32nd. They’ve also only managed to score an average of 16.8 points per game, positioning them in 31st. It’s fair to say that St. Louis’ defence is generally better than their offence, only allowing 348.8 yards on average per game, and a ranking of 10th. They’ve forced six fumbles overall and several sacks have also been recorded, four for Robert Quinn, and two each for Alex Ogletree and Lamarcus Joyner.

The Browns are sure playing tough. They’re only 1-2 straight up in their last three, but they could easily be 3-0. They’ve covered the spread in three straight unless you bet them just before kick off last week when Cleveland money sent the line to Broncos -3 at some shops. All three games werew decided on the last play of the game with the last two going to OT and the previous on a FG with time running out by San Diego. It is real tough for a team to do that back to back let alone having three emotional games in a row. There’s usually a letdown and we think it comes this week against a rested Rams team stinging after a dropping a game to the Packers that they should have won. Lay the points.
