Julian Edelman dislocates finger, which could be a problem for New England
Julian Edelman apparently caught his right hand between two Colts as he was catching a touchdown pass. And while he was healthy enough to sling the ball into the Colts’ logo, an injured digit on his right hand may well have been causing Edelman problems later in the game.
After the touchdown, Edelman bobbled several more passes. One of those, he tipped right into the hands of Mike Adams, who proceeded to run the ball straight into the end zone. That touchdwon gave Indianapolis a brief lead.
Cameras caught Edelman showing off the highly displaced digit soon afterward. (This may or may not be a new injury.) He remained in the game, but the impact of the dislocated finger appeared significant. Quarterback Tom Brady may have lost one of this most reliable receivers in a game that was unexpectedly tight.
