After all the hype and all the attention, Michigan, a touchdown betting favorite against Michigan State, lost at home in the most painful way possible.
The Paul Bunyan Trophy is awesome, and seeing the Spartans celebrate with it on your field after a bungled punt ends your rivalry game stings the soul of a Michigan fan. A special teams error is one thing, this was time standing still as the Spartans’ stole this game.

As you can imagine, the fans in the Big House were stunned. After all, Michigan never trailed in the game and appeared to be on its way to notching a huge win in the rivalry. After Mark Dantonio’s recent dominance, Harbaugh was on the edge of bringing the Paul Bunyan Trophy back to Ann Arbor.
