Carey Price collides with Chris Kreider in ‘revenge’ bodycheck (Video)
Carey Price is known for his ability to make incredible saves. Bone-crushing bodychecks? That’s generally not in a goaltender’s job description.
Price laid out Chris Kreider in the below hit behind the Montreal Canadiens’ net in the Habs’ 3-0 win over the New York Rangers.
Overall it was a pretty nonchalant bodycheck by the 2015 Hart and Vezina Trophy winner. Price and Kreider have a history. In the 2014 Eastern Conference Final, Kreider slammed into Price on a breakaway, hurting the goaltender’s knee and knocking him out of the rest of the series – a six-game Rangers win.
As for Thursday night’s game, Price stopped 25 of 25 New York shots on goal to pick up his fourth victory of the season in four starts.
Price was not penalized on the play and Kreider was not injured.
