Betting Odds
Point Spread: Red Wolves -4.5
Total Line: 58.5
Arkansas managed to secure their second win of the 2015 regular season by putting the Idaho Vandals in their place with a 35-49 outcome. Michael Gordon would run for three touchdowns during the game to help propel the Red Wolves to victory. Not only that, but he carried 26 times for 221 yards, while Johnston White ran for two touchdowns and James Tabary threw for 188 yards and a score. Arkansas’ offence was on full point during the game, which saw Idaho quarterback, Jake Luton intercepted three times.
The Red Wolves need to keep on point with suck offensive gameplay, having lost three of their matches this season so far. If the team is to prove their worth in the NCAAF, they’ll need a stronger standard of play from Tabary, who has been intercepted six times this season, although he has completed 63.7% of his passes. Gordon has claimed five touchdowns altogether this season so far, as has White. Meanwhile, Warren Wand has carried 35 for 210 yards and scored two touchdowns, and Logan Moragne brings up the final touchdown to make their total of 13 rushing touchdowns this season.
The Jaguars are on the opposite end of the scale to Arkansas, claiming three victories out of the five games they’ve played already. Their latest came last week against the Troy Trojans, who weren’t able to overcome the South Alabama team and saw the match end in a 24-18 outcome. Cody Clements passed for 205 yards and two touchdowns during the match, and with 3:29 remaining on the clock, there seemed to be enough time for the Trojans to make a comeback. It wasn’t to be though, and South Alabama managed to run out the clock, with Kalen Jackson spearheading the defensive unit with six tackles, two tackles for loss and two interceptions.
Clements has completed 80 of his 154 attempted passes this season so far and has recorded seven touchdowns in the process. Xavier Johnson has been on fine form as well, carrying 64 for 411 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, Gerald Everett has been on the receiving end of 23 passes, and has claimed 350 yards in the process, and five touchdowns, while Josh Magee has taken 13 for 326 yards and two touchdowns.

We think that Arkansas State is a little over-rated here. They are expected to get back QB Fredi Knighten and that will be a boost, but this South Alabama team should be primed for a good effort. The Jaguars are coming off of a confidence building 24-18 win on the road against Troy and will be looking for some payback after getting smoked 45-10 last year at Ark. State.
