WSU assistant pleads for Mike Leach to go for winning 2-point conversion (Video)
When Washington State scored in the final seconds of regulation against Oregon on Saturday, Cougars head coach Mike Leach had a decision to make: kick the game-tying extra point, or attempt a game-winning two-point conversion?
One assistant had his mind made up and emphatically told Leach to go for two.
Leach carefully considered his options.
So what did Leach decide? Well, first he had to gaze into the distance for a few seconds and ponder the meaning of life.
After those dramatic few seconds, Leach sent the extra point team out and sent the game to overtime with the score tied 31-31.
The move paid off, too, as the Cougars won 45-38 in double overtime to snap an eight-game losing streak against Oregon.
