Northwestern to wear 1995 throwback uniforms vs. Iowa (Photos)
Northwestern will honor the 20th anniversary of its 1995 Rose Bowl team with throwback uniforms when it hosts Iowa on Saturday for homecoming.
That 1995 team featured current Wildcats head coach Pat Fitzgerald as a star linebacker. The team went 10-2 to win the Big Ten before losing to USC in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
The Under Armour uniforms feature a Rose Bowl patch.
No. 20 Northwestern dropped to 5-1 with a loss to Michigan on Saturday but can significantly boost its chances of winning the Big Ten West with a win over No. 17 Iowa, which improved to 6-0 with a win over Illinois over the weekend.
Saturday’s game kicks off at noon E.T.
