Harden exits Rockets game with knee contusion
Houston Rockets star guard James Harden suffered a right knee contusion in the first half of Sunday’s preseason game against the Orlando Magic. Harden, who played 13 minutes, will not return.
Harden suffered the injury while on defense during a fast break.
He finished with 12 points and four assists.
It was the third preseason game Harden has played in. He was supposed to get the second preseason game off against the Dallas Mavericks last Wednesday, but asked coach Kevin McHale to play in it.
Harden finished with 19 points in 20 minutes in the Rockets’ 109-82 victory over the Mavs.
