Baylor jumps TCU in Week 6 AP Poll
There’s a new top Big 12 team in the AP poll.
Baylor jumped TCU for the No. 2 spot behind Ohio State in the Week 6 poll. The Bears were No. 3 last week and demolished Kansas 66-7 on Saturday. TCU had to come back from a 35-17 deficit to beat Kansas State on the road 52-45.
The biggest loser among top 10 teams that won was Michigan State. The Spartans escaped against Rutgers 31-24 and fell to No. 7 in advance of their clash against Michigan in Week 7. The Wolverines, who throttled Northwestern, moved up six spots to No. 12.
Ohio State also made history in this week’s poll. The Buckeyes have now spent the most time at the top of the AP poll, breaking a tie with Oklahoma.
Oklahoma moved into the top 10 in Week 5 and is now No. 19 after losing to Texas. Florida took Oklahoma’s spot in the top 10 at No. 8. The SEC has the most teams in the top 10 with four, but the teams are all in the bottom half of the top 10.
