Mou the best coach for Chelsea – Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas has voiced his belief that Jose Mourinho is the best coach for Chelsea, and it’s just a matter of time before the Blues begin to turn their season around.
Mourinho’s side have kicked off their title defence with the club’s worst start to a season in 37 years, having won two and lost four of their opening eight Premier League matches.
While questions swirl about the Portuguese’s future with the club, Fabregas remains firmly behind the two-time Champions League winner.
“He is the best coach in the history of the club and the best we can have,” Fabregas told Marca on Wednesday. “Personally, he [Mourinho] helped me in a very complicated moment of my career and he gives me confidence.
“I will do whatever he asks. In face-to-face situations he helps me a lot and I respect him for that. We [Chelsea] are not well, but we will do better. We have the best coach for the club.
“People have not forgotten that five months ago we won the Premier League and a cup, but we have to change the situation fast and soon.”
Fabregas’ comments come days after Mourinho received the “full support” of the club earlier this week, and on the same day 20-year-old defender Kurt Zouma gave his approval.
Chelsea, who currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, will host Aston Villa on Oct. 17.
