Betting Odds
Point Spread: Ravens -7
Total Line: 43
The Browns have suffered terribly during the NFL 2015 regular season, only managing a single win in their four games played. Last week saw them lose out to the San Diego Chargers, with the match ending in a 27-30 score. Despite the loss, the offence of Cleveland was still on point during the game, with Josh McCown going 32 of 41 for 356 yards and two touchdowns and no picks. Isaiah Crowell ran for 63 yards on 12 carries, while Duke Johnson would catch nine for 85 yards and a score. If the team can bring offence and defence together into a cohesive unit, they should give the Ravens a decent fight.
The Browns are currently ranked 20th overall for their offence, while defensively, they’re 21st. McCown has attempted 98 passes and completed 65 overall this season so far for 746 yards. Meanwhile, second quarterback, Johnny Manziel has completed 21 of his attempted 39 passes for 354 yards. Travis Benjamin has been on the receiving end of 16 passes, with four touchdowns, while Gary Barnidge has received 16 as well for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
Baltimore are in the same boat, achieving only a single victory, which came against Pittsburgh last week. Despite the win though, quarterback Joe Flacco played a somewhat terrible game. He threw for just 189 yards, with a touchdown and an interception, whilst also being sacked five times. However, the Ravens’ running game was more than on point, which made up for Flacco’s lack of aptitude. Justin Forsett would run for 150 yards on 27 carries, which took the Ravens to their victory, and if they’re able to bring the same level of play this week, another win is sure to be on the cards.
Despite his terrible play this week, Flacco has completed 102 passes on 159 attempts for 1052 yards so far this season. Alongside Forsett, Javorius Allen has carried 18 for 66 yards, while Lorenzo Taliaferro has carried 13 for 47 yards and a single touchdown. Receptions have been claimed by Steve Smith in the most part, capturing 29 for 373 yards and two touchdowns. Forsett has also been on the receiving end of 12 passes for 41 yards.

The Ravens will be going with a very limited cast at WR with Steve Smith Sr. not expected to play. The Browns do have some injuries on defense, but should get Pro Bowl CB Joe Haden back for this game (check status) and could give this offense fits if they can make them one-dimensional. The run defense will be the key here. If Baltimore can’t run they’d be hard pressed to win this game let alone get the point spread cover. Even if they can have success running the Browns lit up the Chargers secondary for 300 yards the second straight game that they have done so. They’ll face a very mediocre Ravens’ secondary and we look for Cleveland to take advantage of it.
