Love him or hate him, there’s no denying this fact: The Yankees wouldn’t be in the postseason this year if not for his surprising and successful comeback after a year’s suspension. A-Rod wasn’t his old MVP self, but he’s hit 33 homers and driven in 86 runs, both numbers higher than anybody predicted for an embattled 40-year-old with bad hips.

Even if you think A-Rod is baseball’s greatest villain, you gotta admit, it’s nice to see the guy be geniunely happy. It’s not something we see too often.
