Chris Young came out of the bullpen to make his first start since July and while it was a decent five scoreless innings his body of work as a starter this season suggests that he may not repeat that this outing. He does have good historical stats against the Twins’ current roster (.212 BA). We think that Ervin Santana who has been ultra-sharp in his last six is the more likely of the two starters to come up with a strong performance. It doesn’t hurt the cause that the Royals who do have a shot at the AL crown are resting players.
