Chris' Week 6 Football Picks – Sentinel-Standard
The Ionia Sentinel-Standard weekly football contest, which involved cities and the Sports Editor picking games each week, is in every Tuesday edition of the Sentinel-Standard.
The Sports Editor picks the teams he thinks will win and the public does the same with the help of the cut-out in the Tuesday edition. Those who wish to participate can cut out the form on Page 4, fill it out and turn it into the office by 4 p.m. on Friday.
Each week, the overall winner can come in and select a gift certificate from any of the 15 establishments involved in the contest.

Once again, I had a pretty decent week. Chad Stiles of Ionia is the overall winner. Also defeating me, Rachelle Thomas of Lowell, Les Shepard and Lori Gustafson of Ionia.
Michigan impressed with their win over BYU and Michigan State didn’t as much with their win over Central Michigan. The Lions…….well they did typical Lions things. Here comes the conference schedule in college football and it’s very possible the Lions start out their season 0-5 with games in Seattle and at home against Arizona.
