Coaches Poll: UF ranked for first time since 2013
Oregon fell 11 spots to No. 24 on Sunday in the latest coaches poll after getting blown away by Utah at home in the most shocking result of Week 4. The Utes, for their efforts, jumped up five spots to No. 12. Florida beating Tennessee was more exciting than surprising, but the 4-0 Gators earned enough respect from the voters to make their 2015 coaches poll debut at No. 23.
TCU is hanging on to its spot in the top five, at No. 3, by Aaron Green’s fingertips after Green pulled down the Josh Doctson deflection in one of the most thrilling finishes of the 2015 season in Lubbock on Saturday.
The Horned Frogs are 4-0, but playing with fire, as Jon Solomon points out that the pollsters’ judgement won’t matter as much as the College Football Playoff selection committee. Remember game control? It didn’t look like TCU was in control for much of the game at Texas Tech.
