Alabama K Gunnar Raborn arrested for DUI
Alabama kicker Gunnar Raborn, the backup to Adam Griffith, is suspended from the team after he was arrested Thursday afternoon.
Raborn was arrested by University of Alabama police for driving under the influence of a controlled substance per TideSports.com. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
Alabama coach Nick Saban’s statement to Al.com was succinct.
“Gunnar Raborn has been suspended indefinitely,” it said.

Alabama’s kicking struggles have been a topic early in the 2015 season. Griffith missed his first four field goals of the year (two against Wisconsin and two against Middle Tennessee State) before connecting on a 20-yard field goal against Ole Miss. He’s 14-14 on extra points.
Raborn, a walk-on, missed two kicks total in 2014. He was 2-3 kicking field goals and 9-10 kicking extra points.
He’s also not the first Power Five conference kicker to be arrested for DUI and suspended in 2015. Clemson K Ammon Lakip was arrested for DUI over the summer and suspended for the Tigers’ first three games of the season.
