UCLA LB Myles Jack out for season with knee injury
UCLA is going to be without one of its best players for the rest of the season.
Coach Jim Mora said Wednesday that linebacker Myles Jack is out for the remainder of 2015 because of a knee injury.
Jack had the game-sealing interception in UCLA’s 24-23 win over BYU. He has 15 tackles in three games.
He had 87 tackles as a linebacker in 2014. The junior has also been a dual-threat for UCLA and got two carries for seven yards and a touchdown this season. He has 68 career carries for 387 yards and 11 touchdowns; seven of those came in his freshman season.

UCLA plays Arizona on Saturday in Week 4’s biggest game. It’ll be the first game Jack, a potential All-Pac 12 player and high pick in the 2016 NFL draft, has missed in his Bruin career. UCLA reinstated CB Ishmael Adams on Tuesday but also said that Fabian Moreau, one of its starting cornerbacks, would be out for the season. So that’s two impactful injuries in two days for a Bruin team that’s one of the best in the Pac-12 South.
The Bruins have also lost DT Eddie Vanderdoes to a season-ending injury.
While UCLA is without Jack on Saturday night, Arizona could get All-American Scooby Wright back. Wright suffered a meniscus injury in the first game of the season and has been targeting Pac-12 play to return. Wright returned to practice this week and is considered a game-time decision.
