The Huskies started out the 2015 well, earning victories in the first two weeks. However, week three saw them suffer their first defeat, falling in a 20-13 outcome to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite Ohio State’s offensive line struggling somewhat, Northern Illinois weren’t able to overcome the Buckeyes. The team’s last drive started with 1:34 left on the clock, but quarterback, Drew Hare threw four incomplete passes, obviously struggling under the pressure of the ticking seconds.
However, Hare’s play has been ultimately solid for the 2015 season in general. He has completed 64 passes out of the attempted 95, claiming 798 of the total 829 yards picked up by the team. Joel Bouagnon has carried 57 for 282 yards and claimed five touchdowns in the process, while Kenny Golladay has been on the receiving end of 20 passes, and according to official stats, has claimed 376 yards while doing so. Christian Hagan’s kicking skills have also been on show, completing 12 of the 14 attempted extra points.
The story was the same for the Eagles last week, as they also suffered their first loss of the 2015 season, being beaten out by Florida State’s Seminoles in a game that finished 14-0. Boston College faltered when it came to opportunities being presented, as Florida State’s Everett Golson escaped two of the team’s defenders who had a chance to sack him. This would be the closest that the Seminoles ever got to picking up a point on the scoreboard – close, but no cigar.
The regular 2015 season has been a decent one so far for the Eagles overall, though. At least where victories are concerned. Kickers Alex Howell and Mike Knoll have claimed 12 extra points between them for the team, with Howell also making a single field goal at 30-39 yards. However, the total passes completed and receptions made have been all over the place, in general. At the top of the ranks is Bobby Walford, who has received just five passes for 57 yards, with Sherman Alston right behind, also with five receptions for 46 yards.

This may look too easy for some to jump on, but the Eagles have allowed one offensive touchdown this season in three games. They scored exactly ZERO points last week and have now lost their starting QB for the season. NIU held the mighty Buckeyes to just 20 points and loss the yardage battle by 108 yards holding Ohio State to a total of 298 yards on the day.
