Jaromir Jagr fans turn his ‘blackmail selfie’ into Instagram meme
As we told you over the weekend, a selfie taken by an 18-year-old model in bed with NHL legend Jaromir Jagr was used in an attempt to blackmail the Florida Panthers winger. It ended up being perhaps the least effective extortion plot since “Burn After Reading,” as Jagr literally said told the blackmailer “I don’t care” and to publish the photos in the media.

And so the photos published, featuring a sleeping Jagr clutching a comforter like it was a rack of casino chips, next to a model named Catherine, who made a peace sign and puckered her lips for her camera.

The hilarious simplicity of the pose didn’t go unnoticed by Jagr fans; hence, the “Jaromir Jagr blackmail selfie” has joined such memes as the Usain Bolt Lightning Pose in having people recreate the scene and post it to social media.
