Steve Mason’s new mask features zombified Broadstreet Bullies, Flyers teammates (Photos)
Steve Mason loves him some zombies.
If you’ve had a chance to see one of his masks over the last couple of seasons, you would noticed the walking dead versions of some Philadelphia Flyers teammates, Civil War soldiers and some historical American figures.

For his 2015-16 mask, the Flyers netminder is going old school a bit, and along with featuring a few current teammates, like the Schenns and Jake Voracek, Mason is zombifying a couple of Broadstreet Bullies and his general manager:
We’re never going to be able to sleep again after seeing Zombie Bobby Clarke.
Mason actually saw the final product for the first time on Sunday, months after he and Drummond sat down to devise ideas for this season’s edition.
How did he sell his teammates to be zombified on his mask? His reasoning from 2014 was simple: “I just flat-out told them, ‘Would you want to be on a helmet? You’re going to get a lot of airtime. At the end of the day you’ll probably look better as a zombie than you do in real life,'” Mason said, via NHL.com.
