Malcolm Butler won’t be a one-hit wonder; has marvelous INT vs. Buffalo
The name Malcolm Butler ring a bell? Yeah, right, the guy who made one of the biggest plays in NFL history to win last season’s Super Bowl.
It doesn’t appear Butler will be Timmy Smith, the most famous Super Bowl one-hit wonder. Butler is starting for the New England Patriots, competed hard in an impossible assignment against Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Antonio Brown in Week 1, and had an unbelievable interception to set up a Patriots touchdown in Week 2.
Butler grabbed a diving interception barely off the turf for an amazing catch. That set up a Rob Gronkowski touchdown that put the Patriots ahead of the Buffalo Bills 21-7.
It won’t go down as the best catch Butler has ever made, but he’s making sure his NFL résumé doesn’t stop after one very important line.
