Jason Pierre-Paul posts workout video on Instagram
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has gone mostly underground, with almost no pictures of him hanging out in public ever being spread around and there have been no public comments from him since his July 4 fireworks accident.

That’s why Pierre-Paul posting a short, boring workout video on Instagram seems like the Zapruder film:
You can’t really see his right hand, which is all anyone really cares about in this video. By being so secretive, every leaked story to the media seems worse and worse for him. The latest is that Pierre-Paul might also be missing part of his thumb. We’ve known for a while, due to a hospital records leak to ESPN, that his index finger was amputated.

Pierre-Paul apparently wants to play though, the Giants don’t appear so sure, and there’s the matter of his franchise tag and how much New York wants to pay him as he continues to recover from these injuries. Here’s the caption of the Instagram video:
“God can turn any situation around for the better. Your hard times will lead to the best times of your life. Don’t believe the hype … Be back soon!#90PC #ImAFighter #PutMeInCoach”
Hopefully he does make it back soon. You’d hate for his career to be derailed over such an avoidable accident, and the Giants could use his pass-rushing skills in the lineup. But until he and the Giants can come to a contract agreement, the whole situation will continue to have a bit of mystery to it.
