The Florida Gators claimed their second win of the NCAAF season last week, walking on to the home turf of East Carolina and promptly beating them in a 24-31 finish. Despite the victory, head coach, Jim McElwain repeatedly apologised for the Gators’ performance, labelling it an embarrassing performance. Florida managed to claim the win when East Carolina’s quarterback, Blake Kemp fumbled and had the ball taken from him by Alex McCalister. An extra score could potentially have been made by McCalister, but his teammate, Jarrad Davis tackled him near midfield to prevent a fumble of their own.
The 2015 season has seen a total of 46 passes completed by Florida, with a total of 63 being attempted by the team. A total of 589 passing yards have been claimed, 317 of those by quarterback, Will Grier. Kelvin Taylor has played a decent rushing game, carrying 24 for 109 yards over the course of the two games already played, while Jordan Cronkrite has carried 14 for a contribution of 71 yards.
Kentucky also brought home a second victory last week when they defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks in a 26-22 finish. This proved to be their first away game win in over five years. The Wildcats were in the lead 24-7 at half time, although the Gamecocks seemed to have a spurt of energy injected into their play when the second half came around. However, Kentucky’s defensive line managed to hold things together during the game, stretching almost to breaking point, but managing to subdue the South Carolina offence long enough.
Official records of the 2015 NCAAF season show that quarterback, Patrick Towles has completed 37 of the total 63 attempts he’s made at passing so far. He’s claiming 449 yards this way, while Stanley Williams has carried 24 for 242 yards and Jojo Kemp has contributed 16 carries for 112 yards. Garrett Johnson haas meanwhile been on the receiving end of 10 passes, which have seen him garner 130 yards and a single touchdown.

The Gators used to treat a game a game against Wildcats as a guaranteed win and that changed last season when they got the money in a 36-30 win, but it was a hard fought game in OT where Florida outscored Kentucky in the extra frames 16-10 to get the victory. Both teams in our opinion are improved this season with neither tasting defeat in this campaign and we think this game will hotly contested throughout. That makes the logical betting choice here on the home underdog.
