The Falcons took a hold of their second win of the season so far, promptly defeating the San José State Spartans in a 16-37 victory. Air Force’s offensive line was well on point, with running back, D.J. Johnson running for 103 yards and three touchdowns all in the last quarter of the game. Quarterback Nate Romine contributed 116 rushing yards to the game, although was taken out with a leg injury later on in the game. Kalon Baker also made a first in his career, by intercepting a ball thrown by Kenny Potter for the Spartans.
Johnson’s rushing statistics for the NCAAF 2015 season so far has seen him carry 32 for 185 yards altogether. The three touchdowns made during the team’s game against the Spartans totals him up to four in the season so far, while the likes of Garrett Brown, Timothy McVey and the aforementioned Romine has all contributed a single touchdown in rushing statistics to the total of 10 held by the Falcons.
Michigan State also reeled in their second win of the 2015 season, by taking down Oregon’s Ducks in a match that ended with a 28-31 score. While the Spartans’ talented number 18 quarterback, Connor Cook had waited the whole of the offseason to win a match like this, he did require some assistance in doing so at the end. It would be the Ducks’ Vernon Adams Jr., who would make an incomplete throw to end Oregon’s final drive, and Michigan State managed to hold on long enough to clinch the victory.
Despite needing help towards the end of that match, Cook has completed 35 out of the 63 attempted passes he’s made overall this season, gaining 448 yards in total altogether. He’s also claimed four passing touchdowns, while Madre London and LJ Scott have both achieved two rushing touchdowns so far, with London carrying 31 for 162 yards and Scott taking 24 for 153 yards. Wide receiver, Aaron Burbridge has been the main man on the catching end, receiving 12 for 218 yards so far in the 2015 season and claiming a single touchdown.

This will be the first meeting between these clubs which would give the Falcons an advantage with their triple-option, but the Spartans have the Athletes to keep up to them speed-wise. If they can limit the damage this will turn into a blowout and that’s what we’re banking on. Lay the points.
