Chris' Week 4 Football Picks – Sentinel-Standard
The Ionia Sentinel-Standard weekly football contest, which involves citizens and the Sports Editor picking games each week, is in every Tuesday edition of the Sentinel-Standard.
The Sports Editor picks the teams he thinks will win and the public does the same with the help of the cut-out in the Tuesday edition. Those who wish to participate can cut out the form on Page 3, fill it out and turn it into the office by 4 p.m. on Friday.
Each week, the overall winner can come in and select a gift certificate from any of the 15 establishments involved in the contest.

This week, I got beat pretty badly. I guess that’s what I get when I predict that both Michigan State and Michigan lose, eh? At least I was correct about the Lions losing (sigh). Anyways, this week’s overall winner is Bob Sykes of Ionia. Also defeating me from Ionia: Dan Trierweiler, Michele Trierweiler, J Clay Kincaid, Dick Steward, Rick Barber, Dale Humpreys, David LaPointe, David Stiles, Trenton Odgen, Dan Clark and Ken Gustafson.
Craig Adgate and Dallas Winkle of Saranac, Gene Schrauben of Portland, Mary Maxon of Lyons and Bob Brown of Belding also took me down.
Here’s to hoping I have a better Week 4!
