Ryan Hollweg grabs guitar, performs ‘Free Fallin’ after Czech league win (Video)
You probably know Ryan Hollweg’s name for one of two reasons: you’re a fan of one of the three NHL teams he played for (New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Phoenix Coyotes) or you remember him taking a stick to the chest, courtesy of Chris Simon.
But for the past three seasons Hollweg has plied his trade with HC Plzen of the Czech Extraliga doing what he does best: compiling penalty minutes (nearly 300 in 98 games played) and becoming a fan favorite.

He’s enjoying himself, as he showed after beating Karlovy 5-1 on Friday. Following the tradition of thanking the supporters, Hollweg grabbed a guitar, came back on the ice and delivered a post-game concert, featuring Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’” and a little “Sweet Home, Alabama” from Lynard Skynyrd.
Known as “The Stache,” Hollweg’s love of music can be found on his Instagram page where he regularly posts videos of himself strumming at a various locales. It looks like he’s set himself up for life after hockey.
