Led by the two goals from Lexi Kavanaugh, Ball State picked up its first win of the season 3-2 against Appalachian State. This marks the second consecutive two-goal game for Kavanaugh, the Cardinals’ leading scorer.

Ball State fell to the Washington State Cougars 3-0 Friday (25-22, 25-22, 25-20). Freshman outside hitter Ellie Dunn led the Cardinals (4-5) with a career-high 11 kills. Freshman Brooklyn Goodsel and senior setter Jenna Spadafora each tallied five kills for the Ball State offense, each also logging an identical .333 (5-1-12) attack percentage and a pair of service aces.
