Cardale tosses first TD of the season for OSU
Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones may have earned the starting job in the preseason, but he picked up another advantage in the quarterback battle by look fantastic on the Buckeyes’ first drive of the game.
Jones did most of the work on the drive with his legs, rushing four times for 24 net yards, but it was two long passes, one to Michael Thomas for 20 yards and one to Curtis Samuel for a 24-yard touchdown, that had fans awing at Jones’ arm strength and agreeing with Urban Meyer’s decision.
On the second touchdown, check not only how Jones hangs in the pocket but Samuel’s ability to adjust despite the defensive pass interference.
