Rabble.tv has launched a redesign of its website as well as a long list of new features that enhance the experience of listening to real sports fans calling games. Plus, they’ve made it easier than ever to help you call your own games or favorite TV shows.
If you’re not familiar with Rabble, it’s the new way to experience sports. Instead of listening to biased commentators who don’t know as much as you do about your favorite team, you can mute the broadcast and either listen to a real fan providing their commentary of the game, or better yet, you can create a free account and broadcast your own thoughts and opinions of the game.
Once you listen to a broadcast or call your own, you’ll be hooked.
To enhance the Rabble experience, the website has recently made the following enhancements:
• A brand-new redesign that is beautiful, modern and easy to navigate,
• Rabble is now available on Android and iPhone apps,
• Dedicated pages to different sports so you can, for example, listen to all of the soccer Rabbles (both live, upcoming and previously recorded),
• Easy-to-find schedules for upcoming soccer broadcasts without having to hunt and peck through all sports,
• You can now log in to the site using Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or register for free,
In addition to the above new features, Rabble has a ‘My feed’ section where you can see the upcoming broadcasts for your favorite Rabble personalities.
But out of all of the new features, the one I love the most is “You Called It,” which is a new weekly video that features some of the most memorable calls from the past week. The first episode, for example, features the Full Time Devils comparing Wayne Rooney to a potato.
As far as a “first” for soccer on Rabble, last week’s was provided by University of Maryland students Alex Littlehales and Joe Malandruccolo, when they broadcast #6 Maryland’s extra time victory over #1 UCLA from Ludwig Stadium. Maryland’s student run radio station WMUC is broadcasting multiple sports on Rabble, but this was truly a special soccer moment and there are surely more to come.
Here at World Soccer Talk, we’re really excited to partner with Rabble to bring a lot of World Soccer Talk talent, readers, listeners and friends to Rabble.tv.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Rabble.tv yet, now is the time. And if you have done so in the past, try it again and check out the new redesign.
