Marcell Ozuna hangs on outfield fence, reels in Curtis Granderson’s fly ball
As we learned on Friday night, playing outfield in MLB isn’t as easy as many guys make it look.
Even the good ones — like Toronto Blue Jays left fielder Ben Revere — are prone to blunders every now and then. Big blunders, even.
With that in mind, Miami Marlins right fielder Marcell Ozuna shouldn’t feel bad at all about misjudging Curtis Granderson’s long fly ball during Miami’s 6-5 win against the Mets. Especially considering he was able to recover and make the catch.

Granderson’s deep fly kept carrying and carrying and carrying, to the point that it seemed like it might never come down. That’s when Ozuna hopped up on the right field fence at Marlins Park, seemingly anticipating climbing higher to rob extra bases or perhaps even reach over the wall to rob a home run.
As it turns out, Ozuna misjudged the ball by about five feet. Fortunately for him though, he was still in position to make the catch.
Ozuna clings to that wall like he’s Spider-Man, then casually reaches out and reels it in as if that was his plan the entire time.

The fact that he did catch it will save him some embarrassment. He even got a tip of the cap from pitcher Tom Koehler.
Trust us though, he’ll still be hearing about it on Saturday and beyond.
