“Ohio State expressed a desire to show its solidarity with Virginia Tech in remembering the vibrant lives of Alison Parker and Adam Ward,” Virginia Tech athletic director Whit Babcock said in a statement. “Coach [Frank] Beamer and I both agreed it was a wonderful gesture on the part of [OSU athletic director] Gene Smith, [OSU coach] Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. We hope fans of both teams join us in hopefully providing some solace to the friends, families and co-workers who continue to miss Alison and Adam.”

Roanoke television station employees Alison Parker and Adam Ward were killed August 26, allegedly by a disgruntled former employee. The two were doing a live report from a nearby waterpark when they were shot and killed. The woman they were interviewing was wounded in the shooting.
Ward is a Virginia Tech graduate while Parker went to James Madison. The decal is white with a black “7” and two ribbons. One ribbon is teal for Parker while the other is maroon for Ward. James Madison will also wear the decals in its game on Saturday.
The Buckeyes and Hokies kick off at 8 p.m. ET. Virginia Tech was the only team to beat Ohio State in 2014 as the Buckeyes won the College Football Playoff.
