Justin Wilson’s name to be on AJ Allmendinger’s car for rest of 2015
Jusin Wilson’s name will be above the door of AJ Allmendinger’s No. 47 for the rest of the season.
Wilson died August 24, a day after he was hit in the head by a piece of debris during the IndyCar Series race at Pocono Raceway. Wilson and Allmendinger raced each other in the open-wheel ranks and also have competed together in the Rolex 24 sports car race at Daytona.
Proud and honored to have his name above my window the rest of year. Thank u @stef_wilson JW family for allowing it pic.twitter.com/q1b4hLFF4d

NASCAR Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series teams ran a decal honoring Wilson last weekend.
Wilson and Allmendinger teamed up for Michael Shank Racing in 2012 when the No. 60 car won the Rolex 24. The two drivers drove with Ozz Negri and John Pew and the team beat the Starworks No. 8 by more than five seconds.
Wilson, 37, had seven wins in CART and the IndyCar Series. His last win was at Texas in 2012.
