Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State lead final preseason odds
With the season set to begin in a few short hours we’ve got the final list of preseason odds for the Heisman Trophy and College Football Playoff from Bovada.
Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott is the favorite for the Heisman at 5-1. He was behind TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin in July, but is now just ahead of the QB, who stays at 6-1.
OSU QB J.T. Barrett is in third after leaping from 25-1 in July. He’s now at 8-1. Oddsmakers clearly think he’ll be the starter. Or the betting trends do. Cardale Jones is listed at 16-1.
When it comes to the College Football Playoff, the Buckeyes are still the top team with odds of 5-2. The theoretical final four based off the odds would be filled out with Alabama (7-1), TCU (7-1) and Baylor (12-1), who is tied with Notre Dame. Yeah, lots of people like to bet on Alabama and Notre Dame.
