The Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson had a good outing against the Rockies in his latest going six innings allowing just three earned runs. He has however struggled in his other two starts this season versus Colorado allowing 13 earned runs in 10 innings. As noted this will be the first time for the Arizona batters seeing Gray and while he has a poor 8.44 ERA at home and 6.00 ERA overall it is mainly because of one bad outing at home against the Mets. He allowed 7 runs in 1 2/3 innings in that game which just happens to be the only time in five lifetime starts that he has allowed an opponent over three runs. We’re willing to shot on the rookie in hopes that he can pitch well enough to get the win or set his team up for the victory.
