The Montenegrin loanee’s strikes have secured victories over Atalanta and Carpi, giving the Nerazzurri a share of the early Serie A lead.
Inter announced the arrival of Ljajic, who has scored 14 goals from midfield during his two seasons with Roma, on their official website on Monday.
They swiftly followed that press release with a second which revealed former Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo had joined the club on a permanent basis.
Melo, now 32, left Turin for Galatasaray in 2011 and subsequently won the Turkish Super Lig three times.
Argentina-born winger Ezequiel Schelotto, meanwhile, has had his contract rescinded and leaves Milan.
