Thousands of fans show up for American Pharoah’s gallop (The Associated Press)

American Pharoah has taken a glorious gallop around Saratoga Race Course to the cheers of thousands of fans the day before the Triple Crown winner runs in the Travers Stakes. The turnout Friday morning may have been the largest to see American Pharoah on a day he isn’t racing. The first Triple Crown winner in 37 years is the 1-5 morning-line favorite in a 10-horse field for the 1 1/4-mile Travers.
