Seahawks Chiefs Pick – NFL Preseason Week 2 – SportsBlog.com (blog)
Seahawks Chiefs Pick
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
It’s time for the second week of preseason action in the National Football League. On Friday night, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the back to back defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks, and below we’ve got a Seahawks Chiefs pick against the spread for bettors. Kansas City won their preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals last week. The Chiefs are part of the AFC West, where all four teams won their opening game. Kansas City will start the regular season on the road at the Houston Texans. For the Seattle Seahawks, they went to Denver in the pre-season opener and fell 22-20. Seattle is still stewing over the final game of a season ago, where they were yards away from winning back to back Super Bowl titles. Marshawn Lynch is expected to get the ball in big situations in 2015. The Seahawks are at the Rams in Week 1.

Kansas City Seeks Help from Receivers
The Kansas City Chiefs had the worst statistics a season ago when it came to wide receivers. This season, the Chiefs hope to improve that, as they added Jeremy Maclin to the mix. Maclin will go along with Albert Wilson and Jason Avant. The quarterback position for Kansas City appears to be Alex Smith’s to lose. Chase Daniel and Aaron Murray both got play in the preseason opener. Jamaal Charles is the workhorse for the Chiefs offense. The running back should get a boatload of the carries, but look for Knile Davis and D’ Anthony Thomas to get some looks as well. Kansas City will have to take get passed Denver and San Diego to come away with the divisional title in 2015.
Seattle Seeking 3 Peat in NFC Titles
The Seattle Seahawks are seeking a third straight NFC title. Pete Carroll continues to just dominate the landscape in the National Football League. While the Seahawks were just a play away from winning it all a season ago, they added assistance in offense. The Seahawks added one of the top receivers in the game, Jimmy Graham. The Seattle offense still goes through running back Marshawn Lynch. On the defensive side, with a unit that was already loaded, the Seahawks added Frank Clark, a defensive end from Michigan as their top pick in the 2015 draft. The Seahawks defense will still feature guys like Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas in the back field. The Seahawks are dealing with several nagging injuries, so look for much of the defense to sit in this one.
Seahawks Chiefs Pick:
Kansas City Chiefs -3
The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be more healthy than Seattle. Pete Carroll is not going to push any of his guys too hard in the second game of preseason. Look for Alex Smith to have a better game in this one, and put some points on the board. Russell Wilson, the Seattle quarterback is not going to get a ton of time, and then after that it gets dicey for the Seahawks. We like the home team to win this one fairly easily in preseason play.
