Liberty football position breakdown: Defensive back – Lynchburg News and Advance (blog)
As we discussed in Monday’s post about linebackers, the defensive backs group at Liberty has grown as the Flames have shifted toward a more 4-2-5 look on defense to put as much speed on the field as possible to combat spread and option offenses. Defensive coordinator Robert Wimberly heads up the safety group, and longtime assistant coach Marshall Roberts is the cornerbacks coach. Their takes on their position groups are as follows.
