Cherry’s father confirmed that the linebacker has decided to take his talents to USF. The freshman originally signed with the Longhorns and was considered a leader among the heralded “Florida 5” freshman class of recruits but last week decided to transfer to another school for unspecified reasons.

He was rated the No. 13 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 59 player at any position in Florida.
