Family buys Phil Kessel’s childhood hockey net on Craigslist (Photos)
Ever want an old beat up hockey net that was used by an NHL star?
Just search Craigslist and you may end up with said item used by the one and only Phil Kessel while he was growing up in Madison, Wisconsin.
That’s what Matthew Wallock (@locksforwalls and Reddit LocksForWalls) did while looking for a net for his children. It was put on sale by Kessel’s parents. Check out how beat up the old thing is above. You can tell it was used by a hockey family.

According to Wallock’s story on Reddit, the Kessels said they originally got the net from late, great US Olympian Bob Suter – father of NHL All-Star Ryan Suter. Also, they delivered the net 40 minutes away, since it couldn’t fit in Wallock’s car. The Kessels gave Wallock two signed photos of Phil and his Team USA hockey Olympian sister Amanda as well.

And this one…
So much happiness! Really cool gesture by the Kessel family.
