He was at Monday night’s Los Angeles Angels game, armed with a toddler and chasing a stray ball. He reached over the rail, but the ball was just a little bit too far. So he reached a little more and then a little more before — oh, holy oops — he was about to tumble over the rail and bring the kid with him.
This was NOT a good decision.
If the Dad of the Year power ranking were calculated Monday night, this dude would be the Miami Marlins. (If he had actually fallen, he’d be the Philadelphia Phillies).
The most embarrassing part came after our guy was back on his feet. An usher came by and picked up the ball. Instead of handing it to the guy or the kid, the usher just straight up tossed the ball to some other people. People who, presumably, didn’t almost fall on their head while holding a kid.
That was a clear sign: the universe’s rules were broken and karma acted quickly.
