Referee trucks Pete Carroll, who gets penalized on Tyler Lockett’s TD (Video)
You never like to see anyone get hurt in the preseason. But even coaches are susceptible!
There are two highlights on this play:
• One, rookie and top Seattle Seahawks draft pick Tyler Lockett flashed some terrific kick-returning ability by cribbing it from 103 yards out. That was great.
• But this was better: Exciteable Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll getting taken out while running along with Carroll.

And for the cherry on top, adding insult to injury, Carroll — or, to be precise, the Seattle “bench” — was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. Basically, he was guilty of excessive celebration.
The oldest head coach in the NFL (yes, it’s true!), Carroll nonetheless has the vim of a man half his age. Gotta love the guy.
But naturally, he bounced right back up — after all, he had a rookie to congratulate on his first professional touchdown.
