The Giants parodied the ‘Full House’ open, and it’s really great
With every passing year, baseball promotions seem to get weirder. Nearly every club celebrates “Star Wars” night at some point during the season, even though “Star Wars” has nothing to do with the game.

The San Francisco Giants are the latest club to celebrate such an event, but this one actually makes some sense when you think about it. On Sept. 30, the Giants will celebrate Full Clubhouse, a tribute to the once popular television show “Full House.”
In order to prepare fans for the event, the team decided to recreate the “Full House” open with some members of the organization. It’s pretty awesome.
Big ups to whoever put that together. Many of the shots mimic the show’s actual open, which we might as well show you so you can compare them. Now, you might be asking yourself what “Full House” has to do with the Giants. Well, first off, the show took place in San Francisco, so that’s one of the reasons the team is hosting a tribute night.
Some “Full House” fanatics may even remember episode 22 from Season Four. It was titled “Stephanie Plays the Field.” Who could forget that classic?
In case you did, we’ll refresh your memory. Stephanie joins a baseball team coached by Danny. She has a crush on a rival player, who asks her not to throw the famous “Tanner Twister” when he’s at the plate so he doesn’t get beat by a girl.
After giving up a home run to him during their first matchup, Stephanie decides she won’t give in moving forward. She strikes him out to end the game and there’s probably a happy ending or a lesson learned or something.

We’re not saying this was the inspiration for Madison Bumgarner’s legendary postseason run … but that’s kind of what we’re saying. Stephanie Tanner never gave in, and neither did the Giants. No wonder they’ve won three World Series championships over the past five seasons.
